Hull vs. Liverpool / Premier League – This week we have two matches in the English Premiership that were not played before, and the first of them brings us two teams that ne, are in a completely different situations before the finish of the season. Namely, the host Hull is currently on the 16th place and they are only one point away from the relegation zone, while Liverpool is fifth and they are together with few other teams leading a big battle for placement in Europe. Otherwise their autumnal duel at Anfield ended goalless, while last year both teams celebrated at home. Begins: 28.04.2015 – 20:45 CET

Hull

That is why Hull players are now hoping for a positive outcome in this duel with Liverpool, especially after their fans last weekend celebrated an important away victory of 2-0 against Crystal Palace. Namely, in this way the hosts have again escaped the relegation zone, and finally terminated the unpleasant series of four draws and two defeats, which actually brought them in this awkward situation before the finish of the season.

However, they are now one point behind the 18-ranked Sunderland, while five other teams are fighting for survival, so every point is important for coach Bruce’s players in the remaining five matches. This only means that that they will now be set a lot more cautiously,  given that they would be satisfied with a draw, while they will look for their chance  mostly over N’Doye who was a double scorer against Crystan palace. We should also mention that defenders and Robertson Davies, midfielders Diame and Snodgrass and striker Jelavic are all absent due to injuries, while midfielder Meyler is suspended.

Probable lineups Hull: McGregor – Chester, McShane, Dawson – Elmohamady, Livermore, Huddlestone, Quinn, Brady – Aluko, N’Doye

Liverpool

Unlike Hull, Liverpool’s fans cannot be satisfied with what their team presented in the last round, because they played only 0-0 with West Bromwich away. However, they have a little justification in the fact that they completely exhausted themselves in the finals of the FA Cup, where they were in the very finish of the match doing everything to come to at least a few more minutes against Aston Villa.

But they have not managed to do so, because they were eventually defeated with 2-1, so they can now fully focus on the championship, where they together with the sixth Tottenham and the seventh Southampton lead a big battle for those two places that lead in Europa League. Besides, the Reds are certainly hoping they might get to that fourth place that leads in the Champions League, from which they are one match and seven points away. As for their team for this match, they cannot count on the injured defenders Sakho and Moreno, midfielder Lucas and striker Sturridge.

Probable lineups Liverpool: Mignolet – Emre Can, Skrtel, Lovren – Johnson, Henderson, Gerrard, Lallana – Markovic, Sterling, Coutinho
